We are happy to announce one more premiere this season: a one-hour concert performance experienced inside the sauna, with two breaks for cold-water dips. It premieres June 16 2026 in Stockholm and you are very welcome to book your tickets through our collaborator Folkbastu.

What is the dramatic structure of the sauna session – the moments of tension, release and transformation? Can shifts in heat and humidity shape a musical composition? Does today’s growing sauna culture reveal something about contemporary desires and dreams? And can the sauna, in that case, become a place for imagining radical futures?
Sweat Dreams is a collaboration between artists Elize Arvefjord and Ebba Petrén, who explore contemporary urban sauna culture through the lenses of composition and dramaturgy. Combining generative systems, voice and speculative storytelling the work approaches the sauna as a site for rewilding: a place to remain with endurance, pleasure, and vulnerability.
Welcome to a sauna session that playfully expands the rituals and expectations of sauna bathing.

About the artists
Elize Arvefjord is a Stockholm-based composer and sound artist whose practice explores the materiality of sound and its ability to blur boundaries between bodies, objects, and environments, often within performing arts contexts. She is currently completing the Artistic Interdisciplinary Master’s Programme at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. This autumn, she will develop the work Wonder Waves at Accelerator together with choreographer Anna Öberg.
Ebba Petrén is a theatre director, dramaturg, and performer based in Stockholm. In Sweat Dreams, she continues her exploration of theatrical time travel and speculative dramaturgies, themes that have shaped works such as 1974 (Nyxxx & Sweets, 2024), De små små detaljerna (Banditsagor, 2025), and Genom vind snö och solsken (Teater Västernorrland, 2021).
Nyxxx-members Elize and Ebba have collaborated for many years on works involving voice, technology, participation and collective experiences – including sauna bathing itself.
